The development of this village starts from the last year of Xian Fong. Guang Shiu year is the developing period. When our forefathers arrived here, they worked very hard to reclaim the wasteland. Throughout hardworking years, they built their hometown. The villagers here mostly belong to Hakka people. Composing and singing Hakka folk songs are very prosperous. For example, Hen-Min Tu, Shen-Zhi Wu and Qian-Hong Wu are famous Hakka composers as well as singers.
